Work responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls. Call outgoing.
- Call staff or departments directly via switchboard or PABX system.
- Receive guest messages and deliver to guests.
- Understand the functions of a telephone operator board or PABX switchboard.
- Knows what to do if an emergency call is needed.
Help report complaints and problems with telephone equipment or services. - Multitasking ability is highly expected from the person concerned.
- Be polite and courteous when answering the phone.
Keep record of call place and acceptance by all categories. - Set up conference calls in different locations and time zones.
- Update directory information in front office.
